This month, we’re teaming up with Bridget Murphy, owner of Paper Crane Botanicals in Avon Lake, for a fun and hands-on house plant workshop. You’ll paint your own pot, plant something beautiful, and learn practical tips for keeping your leafy new friend happy and thriving.
Bridget’s journey is a story of following curiosity, growing something from scratch (literally!), and bringing joy and greenery into people’s homes. She believes everyone can benefit from a little plant magic whether you're a seasoned plant parent or a total beginner.
As always, we're collecting non-perishable food items for Community Resource Services (CRS). Net proceeds will benefit North Pointe Ballet.
NOTE: Tickets are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to transfer your spot to a friend if something changes.
About Bridget Murphy
Bridget Murphy is a lifelong plant lover and founder of Paper Crane Botanicals in Avon Lake. After graduating from Bay Village High School, she spent nearly a decade on the West Coast, where she discovered a deep love for houseplants while working in family-run nurseries. With hands-on experience in everything from potting and plant care to e-commerce and buying, Bridget returned home to Ohio to open her dream shop. Her goal? To create a space where everyone from first-time plant parents to seasoned collectors can find the perfect plant and feel confident caring for it. Learn more at papercranebotanicals.com.
