South Euclid - Yellow Dining Room Decorating Ideas

I am so behind in posting my recent projects, but here we go!

Just after Thanksgiving, I had the privilege of helping a new client with her living room, dining room and kitchen via a virtual 3D room design engagement. Today let's take a peek at the dining room.

This client wanted to keep her floors and yellow wall color but was looking for dining room decorating ideas to make the area feel more refined. As with all projects, I leveraged virtual design and 3D renderings to help the client visualize three different design concepts.

In the first, I went with an all-white look, which I prefer aesthetically as it makes the space feel airy and light. Most folks think this look isn't practical for homes with children but can be ok with the right materials (think wipeable and washable). In this option, I showed gold fixtures and a mix of blinds and curtains on the windows.

The second concept leaned into black furniture, fixtures and decor. I chose roman shades for the windows. I do like this look as well, and it may be a bit more practical with young kids. The third option showed wood furniture and silver fixtures. I chose to show long curtains in this look.

The homeowner is now reviewing the concepts and will leverage the one round of revisions included in my design packages to refine the renderings further to her liking - perhaps she likes option 2 the best overall but wants to swap the wall decor for that shown in option 1 ... or maybe she wants to incorporate the long drapes from option 3? Or maybe she wants to see tweaks to each design? It's all included in the revision phase!
