Columbus - Modern Kitchen Interior Design

Today I'm sharing a recent project in Columbus, where I helped a client reimagine his kitchen and dining area. His request was to incorporate unique, modern elements - to create a "beautiful home!"

This was a fun one! Although I tend to be a bit more traditional, I'm pleased with the modern designs I came up with, as was the client! After receiving his initial design concepts, he said:

"EXCELLENT JOB DONE!!!!! I really loved how you put this together."

As with all projects, I leveraged virtual design and 3D renderings to help the client visualize three different design concepts for this modern kitchen interior design project.

In the first, I showed a rectangular glass table anchored on the wall. I found unique dining chairs for the table, but kept the bar stools a bit more simple (though in the same color family). I hung moss/greenery planters on the wall and showed a modern chandelier above the table.

In the second, I showed a round table with a narrow console table behind it. I swapped the planters for a long piece of art and swapped the chandelier for a bit more traditional looking piece. I also swapped the chairs, rug, bar stools and counter decor to help the client visualize a different look.

In the third, I kept a circular table but swapped the console table for booth-/bench-style seating. I showed another modern chandelier and different wall decor above the bench. I again swapped the chairs, rug, bar stools and counter decor to help the client visualize yet another option.

The homeowner reviewed the renderings leveraged the one round of revisions included in my design packages to refine the concepts further to his liking - he went with design 1, but swapped the table for that shown in design 2. This client had purchased the vision board and sourcing package and is currently reviewing those deliverables. I can't wait to share more about that process and that outcome soon!
